Imagine the champagne corks popping, the revelry, the sheer joy on millions of faces.  A national holiday should be proclaimed!

One of my favorite jokes:

Sarah Sanders tells Trump:  "Oh, Mr. President, I had the most wonderful dream last night.  We were in a big motorcade down Pennsylvania Avenue and there were huge crowds of people dancing and singing and laughing all along the route."

Trump says "Was I smiling?"

Sanders replies.... "I don't know sir. The casket ws closed."

When he dies the stench of McDonalds will exude from his pores.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

Dr. David Egilman, a physician and expert witness who, over a 35-year span,
gave testimony in some 600 trials involving corporate malfeasance, resulting
in billions of dollars in awards for victims and their survivors, aged 71.

He provided critical testimony in a US$8.9 billion class-action lawsuit against
Johnson & Johnson
, claiming that it had failed to reveal the health risks involved
and presented by Johnson’s baby powder and other products containing talc.

I'm 48 and am noticing that of people sometimes my age, but also just my parents age, mid 70's. Parents, uncles, aunts. It's kind of wild. Not sure how I'm going to whether all that grief when it comes (in waves).
Is this sig thing on?

Daniel Dennett

Quote:Daniel C. Dennett, Widely Read and Fiercely Debated Philosopher, Dies at 82

Espousing his ideas in best sellers, he insisted that religion was an illusion, free will was a fantasy and evolution could only be explained by natural selection.

One of our own is gone.

An outspoken atheist, he at times seemed to denigrate religion. “There’s simply no polite way to tell people they’ve dedicated their lives to an illusion,” he said in a 2013 interview with The New York Times.

You hear that, Stevie....you dumb fuck.

Duane Eddy, whose twang changed Rock ’n’ Roll, dies at 86.

A self-taught electric guitar virtuoso, he influenced a generation
of musicians. One of them, John Fogerty, called him rock’s first
guitar god.

Long live the king.

Interesting.....

I'd never actually heard of Bernard Hill.  I checked his
filmography of 50+ films and found I'd never seen
even one of them
.

Is that an issue stemming from my lack of intellectuality LOL?

Long live the king.

And at last, when the wailing of the women was stilled and Théoden was laid to rest in his barrow, the funeral feast was held in the Golden Hall. And there was great rejoicing, because, of the cup of life, Théoden had enjoyed a full measure.
“I expect to pass this way but once; any good therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.” (Etienne De Grellet)
