I have created two very basic websites with links back to here. One is on Google, and the other is on Wix. All relevant keywords have been added, and both sites are submitted to Google for indexing. I also noticed that at least one of them now shows up in Google search, albeit, deep down around page 17.
I encourage as many people as possible to go to Google and search for (include the quotes) "Atheist Discussion"
It will help bring these pages up in the ranking and expose this forum to more people.

They are very basic, but that's all we need.

Not that I am aware of.
Just checked our Google placement. We have already moved up from the 17th page to the 3rd page for a search of "Atheist Discussion" in quotes.
The trick is to get the other key words without quotes also going high in the search results with links going back here.
We should start seeing some real results in about a week.

Be careful with that sort of thing. It's what google looks at as a cheat and if said websites are not bona fide and continue to add decent content, google will count it against you if it had a reason to look at you closely. Gaming google often has negative consequences in the long run.

So far so good.
Both this site and the Wix site are currently on page 5 of the search results for "atheist discussion" with quotes. The more googling of atheistdiscussion.org or "atheist discussion" the faster we go up the ladder.
Edit: I am using a Tor browser when searching to conceal my location and IP from Google to get the most accurate and honest search results. Currently we are consistently on Page 3 with this site and the Google site, and the Wix site is on page 4.

Just updating ...
Currently with the keywords of "Atheist Discussion" in quotes, both this site and the Wix site hang around pages 3 and 4 on Google search.
However, we have finally entered the search results with the three key words of Atheist Discussion Forum without quotes, which is precisely what I anticipated and hoped for. We are now on Page 9 of Google search and climbing.
The trick is to get us on page 1 or 2 with just two key words such as Atheist Discussion or Atheist Forum. That will come likely within the next 3 weeks.
I am currently updating the Google Site to bring it back into play.

The solution involves creating our own index.php file, and programming it to redirect people to the new forums URL when they click the Google link.
It's a permanent solution.
The new forum works for www.atheistdiscussion.org and www.atheistdiscussion.org/forums but it does not work for the original Google listing of www.atheistdiscussion.org/index.php (<---if you click this original link listed on Google, you will see exactly the problem)

Update:
We are now in Position 1 of Page 1 of Google with the key words in quotes of "Atheist Discussion"
Yes, we are Number 1.
And ... we are on Page 7 with the key words of Atheist Discussion Forum without quotes, which is excellent and still climbing daily. Once those 3 key words get us within range of Page 1, we will then only require two key words such as Atheist Discussion or Atheist Forums without quotes to start roaring to Page 1 of Google quickly.
It's gonna happen.
Like I said, fuck TPTSNBN ... WE are in charge here. WE are the community.

Update:
We are still easily holding position # 1 on Page 1 of Google search for "Atheist Discussion" in quotes. But that's not even the good news.
We have now entered Page 1 in 8th position with the key words of Atheist Discussion Forum without quotes, which is actually fantastic.
Also we have entered into Page 3 of Google search with just two key words without quotes of Atheist Discussion, which is also fantastic.
The big thing we want, and it will happen, is to be at the top of Google search when anyone uses the primary key words of Atheist Forum.
I have been working the two websites I created to link into this forum, which is why the keywords are working so well. The more links we can create with key words relative to this forum the better.
In about 2 more weeks we should start seeing many more user registrations. In two more weeks we will be showing up on the first page of Google with all key words, and don't be surprised if we hold numerous positions in the top 5.
And we haven't even started on social media yet. That will come later.
Edit: By the way, I am using the Tor Browser to get the most accurate results as Tor allows me to search Google from numerous other countries and doesn't store any previous results.

Update:
We are still holding the number 1 position on page 1 of google search with the key words of "Atheist Discussion" in quotes.
However ...
We are now holding positions 9 and 10 on page 1 of Google search with the key words of Atheist Discussion Forum without quotes, and climbing fast. This is excellent.
I have revamped the two sites I created and shifted the key words around so that the key words of Atheist Forum become dominant. The result is that in the past 24 days we have finally entered onto Google search on Page 9 with those two key words, which is exactly what we want, and we are climbing fast.
The trick is to get us all over the 1st page of Google with all combinations of all the key words, and we are gonna do it.
So far, in ony 2 weeks, we are making massive strides in getting this forum visible and it's working very well.

Ok, the more links we can create is NOT better. The more quality links we can create, the better. Spamming links can get you into google prison faster than your head turns.
Please be careful, don't link to here multiple times from these sites. You have me seriously worried now.
