Yeppers... slow for me again today.   

Sometimes 20 or so seconds for a mouse click to respond.

Slow here as well...although more like 10 seconds not what SYZ is experiencing.

AD Server Slowdown?
Turns out we didn't have a robots.txt file. I was sure we did. It must have got lost in the move.

I've nabbed the one from atheistforums.org and updated the paths for our forum. Added a delay of a second for each request for bingbot and banned seek and crawl, whoever they are.

Apparently google ignores the Crawl-delay option and you have to use their search console or something.

Let's see how that gets on and whether we need to add anything else or make any changes to it.

AD Server Slowdown?
It was looking good earlier, with a much more reasonable ~280 guests. Now it's a bit slow and we're up to nearly 4,000. They aren't showing up as BingBot, just a generic "Guest" with no further information.

AD Server Slowdown?
Nearly 6300 Guest requests in the last 15 minutes. If it were respecting robot.txt that wouldn't be more than 900 even at top speed.

It seems more than a little sus that the "BingBot" problem turned into a horde of anonymous "Guests" the moment that Mathilda implemented a fix. That feels deliberate.

   Such as...

Cloudflare    (most popular, free, + paid tiers)

Akamai     (too expensive @ $1,665 per month? for #1 protection)

AWS Shield     ('Standard' version, free, + paid tiers)

Google Cloud Armor     ('Enterprise' version @ $200 per month, pay-as-you-go)

Late Monday night 23/3 downunder...

AD almost impossible to use with any reliability.
Super slooow, cannot watch YouTube links, cannot
logout without closing browser, will try again later.    Thumbsdown
