Facts, Evidence, and Proof: Untangling the Concepts

Facts, Evidence, and Proof: Untangling the Concepts
LOL... Steve's definition of "supernatural" is, apparently:

Quote:Supernatural: a distinct ontological category of reality not reducible to or
governed entirely by physical processes or natural laws. It includes the
possibility of non-material agents, immaterial causes, or intelligences that
operate outside the closed system of nature.

Another of Steve's infamous word salads whose intention it is
to obfuscate what the majority of enlightened thinkers know
it to be in actuality.

And it does not involve the "possibility" of anything outside of
the natural sciences.  That claim is simply a way Steve can cope
with people's laughing at his beliefs in supernatural [sic] entities
or paranormal phenomena.

His is a classic case of the we don't know; so God nonsense.

I'm a creationist...   I believe that man created God.

What I've noticed about his lengthy posts is that he never actually gets to the point. Pages upon pages of arguments about definitions and context. None of those would actually matter if his position was arguable.

Twice now you don't ask questions, try to learn something in the dialog, or offer counter-arguments--just type ridiculously simplistic dismissals, off topic, and not actually addressed to the me. So you are at a crossroads with me, how are you going to participate in these very narrow threads I write in? Are you going to "learn a thing or two" as your bio indicates or are you going to be in the blocked peanut gallery of people who lack character (like SYZ who trolls me so consistently that I can only assume I add meaning to his life)? If you ask questions or supply counter arguments, I almost always answer them if I think they are in good faith. The ball is in your court.

The day that I learn anything from you will be the day that your hell freezes over. I've been knocking around on this planet for a few decades and have come across the likes of you on numerous occasions.
Your frilly words don't do anything for me because they have no substance. Try being honest with everyone here including yourself and you might get somewhere.

I think that you need to convince yourself before chancing your arm at convincing others.

Like most ignorant religious twits Stevie simply puts anyone who disses his 'god' on Ignore.  One would think that a 'god' could handle things better but such nuance is lost on Stevie.  stevie just wants to hear himself prattle on about his concept of a god....   said god seeming to be a first-class asshole.

I had to laugh when I just saw Steve's comment directed at Mancunian:

Quote:...are you going to be in the blocked peanut gallery of people who lack
character (like SYZ who trolls me so consistently that I can only assume
I add meaning to his life)?

Strange... he claims to have me blocked, but he seems to be aware of the
way I repeatedly debunk the nonsensical claims he makes.     Hmmm...
The only "meaning" he adds to my life is to prove beyond any doubt that
there are actually people out there who're so fucking dense but can still
apparently use a keyboard.   Bugger me!   Or not.

At any rate, I'm glad to see I've so often struck a raw nerve with this moron.     Thumbs Up

The block function doesn't do much when somebody else quotes you. So he'lll have blocked you but he'll see anything of yours that anybody else replies to with quoted text.
