Since the  Enola Gay was removed from some US website in the wake of a "DEI purge", I'll reveal to you all that the Enola Gay was not an homosexual plane nor was it named after an homosexual person or crewed by homosexual people (as far as we know). No, the Enola Gay itself, the plane, was transgender. It identified as a fighter more specifically a P-47 Thunderbolt, but alas plane transition were not invented yet and this is why, in its period of depression, it accepted to carry and launch a nuclear weapon. I hope this clears out the misunderstanding.

I absolutely cracked up when I heard about that.  I'm post-WWII, but old enough to have seen a lot of WWII images of planes with wife/girlfriend names and mascots painted on them, in my youth.  And I had a relative named "Gay" (short for "Gabrielle").  She would probably be denied existence, too.  

Just an advisory...  Wiki says the Enola Gay was a Boeing B-29 Superfortress bomber.

This Trump/Musk project of identifying "problems" with simple database keywords like "gay" is a really sad and destructive travesty.  But that's another thread that could be started.
