It was time to call his angels home. Also probably time to let that critical artery rupture inside the 81 year old driver's head.

God is always economical, and prefers to (literally) kill 3 birds with one stone when possible.

Maybe the fictional IT/Deity/God should start to use hail more often to punish the transgressions of unbelievers.  I read that hailstorms are becoming more frequent and the hailstones larger due to climate change.  More damage than tornados even in the US (tornado capital of the world).
The existence of humans who believe in a deity is not evidence that there is a deity.
