The coming trouble for australia in zeihans view is that it has poor land and has not been adequately preparing it's domestic processing or military for the future global collapse scenario that all of his stuff is based on. To wit, where china collapses from a demographic spiral as the us realizes that there's only enough stuff to build a green future for us, and so begins a global war to secure that stuff from enemies and allies alike, abandoning those duties what upheld the american world order and massively benefitted countries like australia. In the collapse scenario australia loses it's two most important trade partners simultaneously and it's resource and economic zones are the backdrop of global conflict.

Not so in Australia.  In 2021, the largest age group in Australia was
30 to 34 year olds. The group that changed the most since 2016 was
35 to 39 year olds, increasing by 277,133 people.

Also, working age people (15-74 years) in Australia massively outnumber
people aged 75+ years.
I wonder why it's so different in Australia. Any idea?

International immigration. The same thing that keeps our pop younger than it might otherwise be.

Could well be.

For the 2022–23 financial year, the Australian Migration Program
and Humanitarian Program together delivered 212,879 permanent
placements as citizens, for an increase of 35.7 per cent over the
previous year.  The 2022–23 Migration Program was the largest
program to date, and included  ~3,000 children.

The top three countries migrants originated from in 2022-23 were
India, the People's Republic of China, and the Philippines.

And we know they're all root rats LOL.

No, not could well be, lol - is. Australia has been below replacement rate since 70's same as the us. Crap land, behind in development, and the one saving grace..the younger pop..is dependent on another nations pop that zeihan (and other strategists like him, he's a us defense complex product) believes is or will be collapsing.

I like to think that we'll all surprise the doom demographers. We've got a good track record there.
