USA basketball with the gold and an exciting final game against the host country France.  USA was ahead most of the game but couldn't quite pull away until the end.  Seems like for all the coaching this and coaching that, nothing matters like just being able to launch the ball into the net from great distances.  USA has a player Steph Curry, son of former NBA player/shooter and this guy is just pure ice water.  Being chased around by two defenders, just dribbles around until he can set his feet for a fraction of a second and launch it from wherever, hits shot after shot.  Rest of the world definitely catching up and NBA now has players from all over the world.

It's always close in basketball. Just saying.

It has gotten that way.  So many really good players in the world, used to be only the US could put five of them on the court at once.  Now several nations can field teams with at least three or four elite world class players and surround them with really strong complimentary role players.
