Cheers to working class, the most important class.

I have a university degree, but am off in an hour do do a shift of my full time job as a support worker (earning just above minimum wage). I've never really considered myself working class, more middle class, but I guess I qualify to celebrate this one as a worker.

One of world problems is the fact that working class does not consider itself to be so and thus do not collectively fight for it's rights. Going by your description you are not middle class in any way, shape or form.

According to my reading a high level of education is enough to elevate somebody to a higher class. And rightly so.

So according to you social class is purely based on how much money you have. So a total uneducated and culturally bereft moron who wins the lottery is now "very classy indeed?"

Shallow. So shallow.

An aside, your saying "whatever helps you sleep" is fine but my replying "whatever helps you sleep" is trolling...I think you're now in the right job...such arrogant stupidity, you must feel really relaxed and confident. The arrogance/confidence divide...hard to pinpoint.

Did I say so, idiot? Money are merely one factor (with education being another) but idea that you can be anything else than member of the working class when you're earning minimum wage is hilarious. You're member of working class, simply one too dumb to even realize it. Guess this "education" of which you speak was wasted on likes of you.

ETA: one of the best descriptions of middle class that I've seen over the years claimed that being so is basically being higher class writ small - as a member of middle class you visit fine but not outstanding restaurants, go to the opera but do not fly to the other country for it, know local politicians instead of country level ones and work as doctor, lawyer or other highly paid specialists. You simply don't have means to live such life nor you're highly paid specialists.

It's good that you recognize your own faults. Now you might start work on fixing them.

Why parroting one words might be considered trolling? Mystery for the ages, surely. But lack of understanding is all that I expect from types like you. Well, that and spouting nonsense.

As a side note I think that I am in a right job too - making beautiful floorings can be quite fulfilling and it leave me with quite some time for other pursuits.

Labor on, brothers and sisters. Fight the good fights.

As an aside, how many of you have walked the picket line, or refused to cross one?

First one must be able to recognize that fight is his. Not recognizing oneself as working class is common malady in Poland which allows politicians to fuck those poor, poor fools as hard as they wish.

I took part in one strike. One day of it and all the guys  working there got the raise. Solidarity strikes or unions aren't in vogue here since the fall of "communism".

We were out on strike for 17 days in 2018. I rode the train to Seattle as usual, and rode my bike to the picket lines. I rode to my assignment, and also to others to cheer on the brothers and sisters.

I've protested a few times in the distant past but have never had a picket line experience, from either side.
