The Greeks and Romans associated large male members with the lower animals like horses and donkeys who they felt were uncivilized and not in control of themselves so classical nude male statues displayed smaller than normal penises.   Learned this when I was a art history major.  .......

.......and then I switched majors and became a theatre costume design major, you know, because I went after the BIG BUCKS!    Hahahahaha.

Big penises were seen as a sign of being a barbarian in antiquity.

First I apologize to everyone who started talking to me and I disappeared again (and sorry for the Necro, get it if I get some warning points or similar).  This time I had a good excuse really!  Well sort of...work got wildly hectic and then Feb. 29th (going to now fear Leap Days) I had a medication reaction that put me in the hospital for 5 days. x.x  You know how Jardiance's commercials when they stop singing they speed-blitz the side effects and one is "may cause ketoacidosis."?  I was one of the extremely rare cases where that happened.  Blood became quite literally acidic. Nearly died. Am I trying to be flippant to deflect from my crippling anxiety regarding mortality and the concept of eternity? For sure.  Fun aside, never had a priest visit me at my Catholic hospital despite near death visit, it was never even offered.  I did get a visit from a therapuppy though!  

Oh and then right after I got out, my cousin went into her ER short of breath, which was the first week of March.  Last week she finally came out of her coma that had happened within 24 hours of that.  Do they know the initial cause? Not really, but take your pick of a mix of: 104 fever, heart infection, lung infection, sepsis, flu A, and a few more things. Has her minister husband been so vile that finally the entire extended family thinks it's not just that I don't like him, but he is indeed a horrible human being? Yes!  Oh my God you all, I could write a freaking novella sized post on the stuff he's pulled...one of the somehow less offensive things is that he has his church secretary cashing all donations and not writing the names of anyone donating under $50; I donated to their GoFundMe anonymously, despite my own horrible medical bills, so wasn't expecting a thanks anyhow, but....all those folks who gave what they could.  The a**hole has obviously not internalized the story of Jesus at the Temple condemning the Pharisees with their giant donations that meant nothing to them, versus the poor widow who gave the small amount, but it was all she had. Let's put it this way, if you listen to God Awful Movies and listened to the Unlikely Angel episode recently, the husband in that Christian propaganda is doing way better than my cousin's husband.

Also fun budget cuts at work have made things there more stressful.  Have tenure now!  But, you know...we don't even get office phones due to the budget cuts any more.

 Thanks @Aliza!  I missed you too!!  And I'm mostly good!  Just a bit irrationally paranoid that I'm posting here again and about to get whammed medically for it. :  Other than nearly dying...doing surprisingly well!  Changed my eating habits finally, haven't had soda/pop in over two months, dropped sixty pounds already, walking a minimum of 20km a week, feeling less anxious and depressed than in years! : Seriously, it was a much needed wake up call and it worked.  How about you?  Like I just realized I don't even have Skype now x.x

Agreed.  Though I think the singing ruined me for episodes that are musicals in series now; other commercials haven't managed that yet.
