I dunno.  Jesus seems awfully pissed off at this church.  That doesn't look like protection to my eyes, but I have to wear glasses, so maybe I'm wrong.

Um.... this line will have the jesustards cumming in their pants with joy.  This is exactly what they want their fucking "god" to do to all those they consider enemies.  They're probably wondering why god didn't wait until the church was full of "sinners."

Quote:The caption of the tweet read, "Woke LGBTQ+ church gets struck by lightning and burns to the ground."

Anyone who thinks a dead jew came back to life to atone for their fucking sins is not sane to begin with.

OBVIOUSLY God is punishing the most religious sections of the country for not being religious enough.  After all, if they'd believed hard enough to send a lot more people to the Jan 6 insurrection then God's true anointed leader would have been installed, God would have blessed the nation, and no bad weather or plague or anything else would have happened under his watch.  Instead, the Xians were lukewarm in their faith and are being punished for it.   Dodgy

(No, I haven't heard any preachers saying stuff like this -- I don't have the stomach to listen for it -- but I'd be immensely surprised if none of them were.)

But what if saying it's a Chinese Hoax is actually a Russian Hoax?     Tongue

As part of the Bible Belt, Christianity is the largest religion in Monroe.

Damage from the fire was estimated at $700,000,  $300,000 for the statue alone and $400,000 for the amphitheatre, fire station officer Richard Mascarella said.

God's mysterious ways:

$700,000 statue: 1

Gambling joints: 0

Gin palaces: 0

Titty bars: 0

God does indeed work in mysterious ways.

For many centuries gunpowder was stored in churches – there seems to have been a belief that the church bells prevented lightning.

Quote:In August 1769 lightning struck the tower of the Church of San Nazaro on Brescia, Italy.  In the vaults of the church over 200,000 pounds of explosive was stored. The resulting explosion killed 3000 people and destroyed a large part of the city. Link

Another town in Texas bites the dust.  Where is your boy, jesus, when you need him.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nati...345615007/

Quote:Multiple tornadoes in north Texas kill four, injure 9 as heat wave scorches state

Quote:Authorities were assessing damage Thursday and working on recovery after a tornado killed at least four people in the north Texas town of Matador amid a brutal heat wave.
A line of severe storms produced what a local fire department called an "unprecedented tornado" that ripped through the town. Meteorologists said the storm system caused an unusual combination of tornadoes, hurricane-force winds topping 100 mph and large hail.
"That is certainly rare to see all at the same time: killer tornadoes, hurricane-force winds and softball-size hail," said Matt Zeibell, a meteorologist with National Weather Service in Lubbock, Texas.
The storm's strong winds swept across the state, from the Panhandle to Houston, causing damage north of Texas' largest city, according to weather officials.

It’s so rare that we can expect this to happen much more often with climate change.  Yet, they’ll never admit it…it’s Texas!

I went to the very cheesusssy memorial service for the company patriarch. It's the most god stuff I have been exposed to since the last memorial. They got up and sang a hymn with the lyrics on teleprompters, like a giant karaoke setup.
One of the repeated verses was new blessings every day and I was thinking of Ukraine and every other new wonderfuckle thing you hear every day.
It's quite the cult.

At my Federal Agency, we had regular monthly meetings in the auditorium. The usual motivational crap. But one started with a gospel group. I got up and left. My supervisor asked me about that, later. I said, if there was another religious presentation at the monthly meetings, I would advise The Washington Post about it. And there weren't...

On the other hand, I was probably crossed off the list of potential management promotions. But that was OK, I enjoyed what I was doing and making too much money as it was... Tongue
