The damn things look like some sort of naval mine.

The ball is obviously a Chinese surveillance spy thingie after their alien allies expanded it to lighter-than-air. The aliens came here across star-travel easily but only able to make simple balloons when they arrived here of course. Our yellow sun defeats their advanced technology since they came from a red one. Red stars are old (in case you didn't know), so they had LOTS of TIME to produce such sneaky devices.

I want a small version of "The Awakening" in my front yard.
Failing that, I want a Calvin&Hobbes snowzilla or snowsnake.

It can get confusing posting. I can't tell if you know of this sculpture or not. If I say too much and you do, it can seem insulting. If I say too little and you don't know it, can be uninformative. So chose whatever fits.
I've also had a dream of building a 4' tall praying mantis equipped with a motion detector to move the head and arms. Mounted on the roof... It won't ever happen. I lack the mechanical skills. But it sure would be cool!

Why a "downer"? I think the sculpture is great. And I might find someone to make the praying mantis.

Well, no I didn't. I also didn't mention falling off a cliff, engulfed in a sinkhole, or being in a tornado. But I'm not sure how that applies to anything I said. If you mean did I fight in a naval war; I sure didn't. I am too young for that. I also never took up scuba diving. I did have an uncle who did and he said the likliest way to drown was to do that by yourself (he lost a friend).
I like to do things I can walk away from. When a car stops, you get out out and call repair shop. When an aircraft fails, you die. When a boat sinks you drown (hopefully before the sharks attack). I'd probably push a child away from a car on reflex, but I won't do things that are inherently fatal by design.
Are you OK?

Well, if you demand, "compos mentis". You have been "unusual" in some posts recently. You are a friend and I worry about you lately. Do you have family around to talk to? If not, email or PM me.

I've been crazy for a long time, mostly harmless. Unless you're a deatheater, of course.

So what is it? If it's not a balloon, and not a duck, then it must be... A Witch! No, that's silly.
Anyway, another has appeared but this one has part of its outer force field blasted away:
The crew would have died instantly, a green mist. But hay, if you must show off porpoising in and out of the sea at 16,000 MPH you must accept the consequences.
