Not "if", but when. And I'll play in a band to help those dancers keep the beat.

Trump’s obsession with getting his $400 million ballroom
built is not shared by Congressional Republicans, who are
reportedly keeping an arm's distance from his court battles.

According to Politico, federal US District Judge Richard Leon
has granted a preservationist group's request for a preliminary
injunction that's halted Trump's White House ballroom project.
The ruling has shifted responsibility directly to Republicans, who
are now responding with deafening silence.

Trump unilaterally demolished the East Wing, and planned to
replace it with a lavishly expensive ballroom for entertaining
wealthy donors. But the courts said not so fast—Congress must
approve it first
.

Some Trump allies are offering performative support while also
making it crystal clear they won't lift a finger to help. Those with
direct jurisdiction over White House property matters are remaining
silent on whether they'll push legislation to authorise the project.

"The President of the United States is the steward of the White House
for future generations of First Families. He is not, however, the owner",
the judge wrote.

Yes, and the SCOTUS has give him a get-out-of-jail-free card. The contractors could be charged, though, methinks.

The trump chronicles (topical thread)
Quote:President Trump suggested Monday that the U.S. could impose its own tolls on vessels trying to transit through the Strait of Hormuz — a strategy employed by Iran as it continues to control the key energy shipping choke point.

During a White House press conference, a reporter asked Trump whether he would end the war while Iran was continuing to charge tolls for passage through the strait.

“What about us charging tolls?” Trump responded.

“I’d rather do that than let them have them,” he added. “Why shouldn’t we? We’re the winner.”

“We won, OK? They are militarily defeated. The only thing they have is the psychology of ‘oh, we’re going to drop a couple of mines in the water,’” Trump continued. “We have a concept where we’ll charge tolls.”

However, in response to a question about peace agreement conditions, he said that a deal must include “free traffic of oil.”

The effective closure of the strait amid the war has sent energy prices surging — impacting both oil markets and the prices consumers pay at the pump.

More recently, Iran has implemented a system under which it allows a handful of ships through the strait but charges them for passage.

The U.S. national average gasoline price on Monday was about $4.12 per gallon, up more than $1 since the war began.

If the U.S. were to implement tolls in the strait, it’s not immediately clear what its objective would be.

Or fucking Junior holding up a placard showing what they are going to turn the Gaza strip into. The incredible gall of these people. It used to be that the "mob" was a bit more circumspect. Now, they're mooning the public while picking their pockets.

In March last year, Trump deported more than 200
Venezuelans — not to Venezuela, but to El Salvador.
They were kept in a notorious maximum-security prison
for four months.

In exchange for taking them, El Salvador’s president,
Nayib Bukel—who already had a reputation for stepping
on human rights—received US$6 million.

The US State Department laughably upgraded its travel
advisory for El Salvador, deeming it among the safest
countries
in the world to visit.

These three deportations have thrown people into places
to which they have no ties, and, often, into legal systems
where human rights and civil liberties carry little weight.

Marco Rubio’s office is coaching its diplomats on how to
persuade their foreign counterparts to sign up for one of
these deportation deals, but placing no constraints on
whom the US should be negotiating with. Regarding a list
of unspecified “countries of concern,” diplomats were told
that accepting migrants “can help a country improve its
relationship with the United States.”   [LOL]

The Trump administration is in talks to send migrants to the
Central African Republic and recently finalised a deal with the
Democratic Republic of Congo, two countries where the judicial
systems are often dysfunctional and governments have been
linked to torture and forced disappearances.

It's also cut deals with Cameroon and Rwanda, both run by
strongman leaders.    It has an arrangement with Equatorial
Guinea, where torture is systemic, and Eswatini, which has a
history of human rights abuses. South Sudan, which is teetering
on the brink of civil war, has received US migrants, too.

ICE arrested more than 800 people after tips from U.S. airport security agency

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested more than 800 people following tips shared by federal airport security officials from the start of Donald Trump’s presidency through February 2026, internal ICE data reviewed by Reuters show, a figure far above what was previously publicly known.

The leads came from the U.S. Transportation Security Administration, which supplied ICE with records on more than 31,000 travellers for possible immigration enforcement, the data showed.

The 31,000 traveller records were gathered by TSA’s Secure Flight Program, which was created in 2007 to allow the agency to review passenger information for people who may be on U.S. government watchlists. The program was intended as a counter-terrorism measure, not to track down immigration offenders, according to the regulation outlining its purpose.

DHS did not respond to questions about TSA providing passenger information to ICE, but said that under Trump, TSA “is pursuing solutions that improve resiliency, security, and efficiency across our entire system.”

Trumps reenacting 1Sam15

1 Samuel 15 describes God's command to Saul to completely destroy the Amalekites as punishment for their past actions against Israel.

Quote:There is no direct, independent archaeological evidence (such as inscriptions or ruins) confirming the existence of a distinct group called Amalekites as described in the Bible.

The Iranians are real...the Amalekites were invented to provide the biblical narrative with an enemy....sort of like Klingons.

There are numerous cognitive contradictions in Trump’s outbursts
regarding his Iran mission. In addition to his claim of victory, while
continuing to fight, he has said that he's fighting for the Iranian
people’s freedom, whilst slaughtering thousands of them.

He's said that the United States doesn’t need any help from Europe,
while blasting them for not helping; he has said that the Strait of
Hormuz would be easily opened, while unleashing ever more hyperbolic
threats if Iran doesn’t open it immediately.

He really seems to have no idea what’s going on or what to do.    Weeping

Even Marjorie Taylor Greene(!) is calling for Trump to be removed from
office by the 25th Amendment, saying his genocidal threat against Iran
that "A whole civilisation will die tonight" is "evil and madness."

Once "ultra MAGA" Trump supporters are fuming about
Iran on his Truth Social platform.

The people logging into the platform each day tend to count
themselves among the most ardent supporters of Trump and
his MAGA movement. In recent weeks, though, even some in
the echo chamber have turned against his actions in Iran.

Thousands of Truth's users have responded to the president’s
drumbeat of posts with a mix of frustration, disbelief and outrage.
They have written that they feel betrayed by the expanding war
in Iran, and ashamed when Trump used an expletive on Easter
to make demands of the Iranian government.    Some were so
perplexed by his military interventions that one declared they
“make zero sense.”

[Image: Screenshot-2026-04-13-at-20-49-52-On-Tru...ew-Yor.png]

The responses on Truth—numbering in the tens of thousands—offer
a snapshot of a simmering criticism from the right that has intensified
in recent weeks over Trump’s decision to go to war in Iran. While polling
suggests that Republicans still broadly support the war, unease and
anger are bubbling up on Trump’s own platform!

More than 50% of those responding to Trump’s warning that Iran’s
“whole civilization will die" were deeply critical of his comments, with
only 25% of the comments being supportive, including posts praising
Trump’s “backbone” (LOL).
