Jesus and his magic wand
Some of the earliest depictions of Jesus show him using a magic wand to perform his magic tricks.....er....um......his miracles.

Giggle

I just think it's funny that early Jesus is depicted with a magic wand.  His hair looks black too.

Hells bells, I have no idea, Min.    But anyway,  here's a Hindu god with a magic wand.  I have no idea who or what this god is but he's probably a fertility god.

The Hindus have lots of pornographic sculptures of gods and people having sex. There's even one or two sculptures of beastiality being performed.  Probably shouldn't post that one though.  tee-hee

That isn't a wand. It's a log.

Earliest depiction of the godboy from Dura-Europus located in modern Syria c.232 AD.

No beard, no disciples, no wand, no holy fucking ghost....just a guy in a toga.  When you are inventing a fictional character you can pretty much draw him however you wish.

And that's what makes it non-historic.  A drawing is just a drawing.

I should have known that a thread about Jesus' magic wand would turn sexual.  I kinda helped it along though, didn't I?     girl blushing

Anyway, I thought those images of Jesus and his magic stick was interesting.   Bippity-boppity-boo.

Well, yeah. But worth mentioning. We sometimes forget how "direct" ancients were about sex. Gender equality is changing our society, and for the better.

To quote a great English man I respect very much, who once saw a cock of this size:

"I dont know if i'd rather be fucked by it or hit over the head with it"
And I know what I have to do now. I gotta keep breathing. Because tomorrow the sun will rise. Who knows what the tide could bring?

Apparently sticks, rods, and shafts of some sort were a part of common Christian iconology?

Wondrous episodes (magic?) depicted on this early 4th-century sarcophagus
include (left to right) Peter striking the rock, the arrest of Peter, Jesus at Cana,
healing of the blind, multiplication of the loaves and fishes, and the raising of Lazarus.
I'm a creationist;   I believe that man created God.

It is a weird thing to say.
I wonder what the equivalent saying for a large vagina is?
I didn't know whether to fuck it or throw in my washing. :-)

Because you can't hit someone over the head with a vagina.

Wands were representative of power, they weren't considered to be actual physical objects by the literate people of the time. We don't know the "code" so we wing it, usually poorly.

Even in the formulation of the bible, they left out the books that portrayed Jesus unfavorably according to what they wanted to accomplish. Legend is often created by embellishment, and perhaps there was a man who performed magic as one would see on stage today.

All kinds of paths from the reality to the present day interpretation, and many conveniently forgotten between.
