I didn't claim that anyone here made the argument. I was simply pasting some related material from my large collection of my own writings.

I see. And what inscrutable purpose were you attempting to serve by doing so?
Mountain-high though the difficulties appear, terrible and gloomy though all things seem, they are but Mâyâ.
Fear not — it is banished. Crush it, and it vanishes. Stamp upon it, and it dies.

None. Just posting some related info. about the Bible and coins. If I could go delete it, I'd be happy to, if it is annoying folks so much, but I can't -- or so it seems.

At least coins are real - and very useful archaeologically for dating purposes.

That's more than I can say for your imaginary godboy.

Atheist charge: According to Matthew 26:15, the chief priests gave “thirty pieces of silver” to Judas. But how is that possible, since there were no silver coins used as currency in Jesus’ time, and there had not been any for about 300 years?

It is defined in the Greek as: a silverling (i.e. drachma or shekel).

Quite right, Free.  We have records of wage rates showing that Athenian citizens were paid one drachma per day while they were rowing the triremes during the Pelopennesian War in the late 5th century BCE.

I'm sure you have heard the suggestion that one of the reasons for the Athenian's stupid invasion of Syracuse after the Peace of Nicias was that the good and peaceful citizens of Athens were not only bored witn no boats to row they were also tired  of not getting paid.  A new war became a necessity for them economically which was, perhaps, the earliest expression of the military-industrial complex!
