We're home. Good prognosis for a full recovery. He's loaded like a freight train, and once the shot wears off we'll be hoping the oxy can keep up with the job. But he's home and walking and now on the road to recovery. We're a lucky family, it could have been so much worse.

Or, will he still have to report and finish healing at his new post? There'll be co-ord between Camp Lejeune and here, his healing will take a lot longer than he has leave. Removing the excess panels from my new case and installing the new power supply. The power supply cables are routed, but I still need to do the fan cables and ARGB stuff.
The first thing I have to do when I get home from work is give Arwen huggies because she's been without huggies all day (no not the diaper).
I had only intended to install the power supply in my case today. However, once I got to fiddling, I ended up installing all the rest, motherboard, processor, heatsink and memory. I was then going to wait until morning to test it, because I knew I would have trouble sleeping if I went to power it on and it was not responsive. But I went ahead anyway. I guess I have no patience today. Anyway, the machine started up and displayed the BIOS screen, which more or less means that the main parts -- motherboard, processor, and memory -- are in good shape. The BIOS indicated that the CPU was idling between 40 and 43 C. I don't know if that's good or bad. Now that the main parts have tested good, if need be, I can go back and revisit the heatsink mounting and cooling solution. I originally ordered a beefier cooler, but the CPU is only 65 watts, so I went back and ordered a simpler cooler.
Enjoying morning coffee and getting ready to take my next dose of meds. My housekeeper is picking up my supply of Metformin today.

Running some tests on the computer that I'm building. Bluetooth seems to work.
Prepping the veggies and chicken thigh meat that is going into the stir fry in about 4 hours.

Procrastinating exercise and lunch / breakfast.
Watching football and a late lunch.
Push ups + dumbbell exercise.
“For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.” -Carl Sagan.
Found my missing package. It was in an Amazon shipping bag, despite being from an Ebay seller. I'm guessing they also sell on Amazon and just use the same packaging for both.
I'm listening to Roxette on Amazon, trying to find new songs I like, while screwing around online. So far I think her later versions of songs are significantly better than her earlier stuff.
Spending half the morning diagnosing a bad ethernet cable problem. I should have known something was up when the network adapter randomly quit a day or two ago.
