Yeah, I'm still here, in the same place in southern Ontario. Working from home at the same job.

My girls are a couple years older. My eldest is going to a magnet school for art, which is great for her.

Post us some pics, always enjoyed them.

This comes up as an expired website for me. I won't be doing any more clicking thereof.

I was actually just thinking about this thread.

So, we moved from Michigan to Ontario nearly seven years ago. Last Sunday, my wife and I started the process for applying for citizenship. I know I've been extremely AWOL for a while. I bailed on Facebook about a month ago and I really need to come back here and post more.

How do you like Ontario…btw, in hindsight, smart move! I’ve a friend in the Quebec area and discussed what our chances were to immigrate. If I had tried when I was still a working Med Tech, it’d been much easier. Now, it would depend on our wealth since we’re retired and would need to buy into their healthcare. It’s still loosely on the table but being in a blue state has me hoping we’ll be ok for now. It’s more my kids and grandkids I worry about. My oldest granddaughter (21) is looking at getting out of the US. Not necessarily for life, but for a while. She needs to graduate from college first, though.

How's the wife and kids doing? I miss your pics.

Southern Ontario is really similar to Michigan in a lot of ways, which made moving here easy. Things are expensive, but things feel better here than the US.

Yeah, immigration is getting harder. Trudeau made it a lot easier years ago to help bump up their economy by just adding more people in, but the increased demand on housing has really hit house prices. People's opinions here are starting to turn against immigration. I'm not sure how many people have actually applied to move here after the election, but I did have three people ask me about the process on November six. I will say having decided to leave seven years ago made this all a lot easier for us.

Pretty good. My oldest is going to school for art. My youngest is about to graduate grade eight (which is a way bigger deal here than it was in the US). My wife and I still have the same jobs we did four years ago, so things are stable. We have three cats, now.

I'll have to post some pics, later...
