What TV are you Currently Watching?

I just finished two seasons of Andor on Disney channel. I should have rewatched Rogue One first to keep the locations and names a bit more familiar.

Opinion? Ok…it needed more action and a clearer plot line…taking two seasons to learn what all the issues were was way too long…thankfully, I power watched it. I can’t imagine trying to keep things straight at once a week viewing. The really cool special effects scenes were too few, though the cities and planets were spectacular.

I’m now rewatching Roge One and doing a lot of…oh, yeah! Now I remember….

I watched the final episode of When The Phone Rings. It went from bad to really stupid. The male lead who died from a gunshot in episode ten is magically alive in episode twelve. No explanation, just one episode he's dead, the next he's alive. And the Korean woman who hadn't spoken since she was a child, pretending to be mute, reveals that somewhere along the way she became fluent in English in addition to her native Korean. It was a major letdown. It was an enjoyable little nothing through eight episodes, but it's like they decided to throw six unrelated plotlines into the final four episodes.

Where Stars Land

Where Stars Land follows the lives of workers at Incheon Airport, and in particular, the interactions between a clumsy, yet bubbly, woman named Han Yeo Reum and a prickly and mysterious man named Lee Soo Yeon. Han Yeo Reum is a first year member of the Passenger Services team and is anything but ordinary. She wants to be a perfectionist and get everything right, but her very clumsy and reckless nature goes against this dream. She has a good heart and strives to do the right thing even if it means going against the rules. Lee Soo Yeon is also a first year member of the General Planning department. He is a perfectionist who wants nothing but to be ordinary.

Lee Je-hoon isn't the only alumni from Where Stars Land in my current KDrama. Jang Hyun-sung played the director of the terminal where Lee Soo-Yeon worked in Where Stars Land and he plays a very similar character in Signal where he plays a police chief with similarly questionable morals. I'm not used to the same actors showing up in multiple KDramas that interest me. I don't know if that's a reflection on me, or KDramas in general.

TV war and international/domestic political news is getting too repetitive. So I've recently re-watched all of Ken Burn's Baseball and Civil War DVDs and am currently re-watching Cosmos (Sagan version, but will watch De Grasse Tyson's next). After that, maybe 'Life After People' again. And then it will be time to watch all the dinosaur and human evolution ones again...
