Food!!! What are you eating today??!
Fried chicken wings…which came with a buffalo sauce which was way too hot for our taste so, I used duck sauce instead…pretty tasty and slightly sweet! Corn and cheesy mashed potatoes for the sides.

Made a sandwich with leftover bacon, salmon, and some sundried tomatoes. It was pretty good.

Pizza: sausage, mushroom, green pepper. Not had one from this vendor in years, guess I'll find out is there was a reason.

Fake crab is really good! But I suspect it's not very healthy. It probably has a lot of sugar.

Baked tilapia and salmon. I had a lone sockeye fillet that was languishing in the freezer, so I threw it in with the tilapia. It was fine. A little more done than I like it, but for a quick meal, it doesn't suck.

I have to watch my intake of imitation crab because I'm a Type 2 diabetic.  Imitation crab meat almost always contains added sugar, along with other sweeteners like sorbitol, to balance its flavor and improve texture. It is a processed mixture of fish (surimi), starches, and additives, often containing several grams of added sugar per serving. Beyond sugar, it is high in refined carbohydrates.

Our surimi is made in Spain!  Looks like a schoolkid's chemistry set LOL.

Quote:Surimi 43% (Fish), Water, Modified Starch (1442,1420), Vegetable Oil,
Salt, Egg White Powder, Starch, Pea Protein, Crab (Crustacean) Flavouring,
White Wine Extract, Sugar (2.5%), Natural Colour (160c).

The 160c is the pink red pepper colouring they paint across crab sticks.
