Our cats during the holidays. One always thinks he's a present, he loves to sit under the tree. They both love to bird watch out the back door.
Loki wants to roleplay with us. I bought this old picnic basket at a thrift store for $2. I was planning to turn it into a sewing basket, but squeaker had other plans. He uses it all the time now, and we carry it around the house with him i it. So he sits in it next to my desk during the day, and in our daughters room at night, and in the craft room if we go up there in the evening. He'll even sit in it in the hall when I'm doing laundry. And yes, we have giant cats. Squeaker is about 15 lbs or so now, we think he must have some Siberian in him. He's the gentlest thing ever, though. Hardscaping the 20 gallon tank. Long term plan is, once this tank cycles, I am going to get a school of Neon Tetras (18 or so) and 3 Hillstream Loaches and Move the Betta fish over to this tank as the centerpiece fish. Will transition the 5 gallon tank to an invertebrate tank and get some cherry shrimp. Change of plans. The rocks I had attempted to secure the driftwood to were not dense enough to keep them from floating. After a few attempts I decided to just do a rockscape. I ordered a few more plants for the foreground and 1 accent plant but I actually like this more than with the wood.
For a second I was looking for floating rocks.

Thread for excessively over-sharing photos of your pets Was testing Gouda to see how he does with other fish, so added a small school of Ember Tetras. Bettas can vary in temperament but most can be community tanks as long as they are the only betta. So now that I had the option of moving him to the bigger tank (and he will be moved next weekend) and he has done well so far. Will keep them under observation for the next few days and if something happens then the Tetras will be moved and I will have to rethink the 20 gallon plan. It would bully anything it shared a tank with so he got a studio appartment to himself. But the guy I got now is curious about these other fish, probably has not seen another fish since he was a juvenile. I was fairly sure he would do well because he has been living with mystery snails for the last month or so and has never nipped at them or even really bothered them. Ember Tetras really colored up quick. They seemed very healthy at the store, darting around a lot not lethargic at all, and they have added a nice bit of color to the tank.
waiting for us to retire to the bedroom tonight.

Loki on her bed with today's selection of chew toys.
Now Bunny has taken over that bed.
Our two at the vets getting their teeth cleaned. My wife is not happy without her dogs helping her in the home office. Russer has had a heart murmur for a while so he got an x-ray and his liver enzymes are whack so he's going to get a pill. Poor Katie had to extractions and is coming home on pain medication. Hopefully I can pick them up with the work truck.

One of Algy's favourite spots is the end of the bed, with or without humans.

Flori likes to be with her humans in the home office. Here she is "helping" Mrs FM at work this afternoon.

There was an epic navel battle in the home office this morning. Russ caught Katie off guard and executed a perfect "crossing the T" maneuver.

Appears Katie did a perfect "battle turn-about". Did she set up a smoke screen?
her stern guns are no match for his.

"No you can not make the bed!" said Floriana.
we have been adopted by a sable bunny. She seems healthy and very friendly. here she is tormenting piggy the cat. Pig is intrigued and flustered all at once with bunny. She tries to stalk her, and the bun just turns around and runs at her!

Jesus Christ, one swipe and that thing could have tore off half her face.
