So, is brilliance unimportant? Or does this little guy like to have his neighbors over for lunch?

Have you seen our biggest "celebrities" and role models? I'd say brilliance is contraindicated.

Unless, of course, we happen to need an urgent vaccine, clean energy or some such boring thing. But in all things that *really* matter big tits get you much farther than a big brain. Deadpan Coffee Drinker

The ocean has the most unusual life on this earth. Some of the stuff living near the bottom of the ocean are something out of science fiction.

I don't even know what this is but it's some sort of see-through fish looking thing.    All I did was google "weird sea life" and all sorts of strange and wonderful creatures pop up on the screen.

When one imagines how much of the ocean is unexplored, aren't you even more curious?

If you can't ID your target within established parameters you don't drop. Landing is that part of the trip where you're trying to hit the ground. Not having bombs on board makes that a tiny bit safer. It was SOP in WWII for British and USAAF missions.

There were a few instances where that happened, but bombers with Tallboys and Grand Slams were generally instructed to return unexpended bombs to base. As I understand it, that was because the bombs took weeks to build, due to the massive amount of explosive needing time to cure.

Here's another freaky fish from the bottom of the ocean. The Barrel Eyed fish.  It's head is transparent.

If you think those two dark spots on the front are it's eyes you'd be very, very wrong.  Those are it's nostrils.   The eyes are those green things inside the creepy transparent head and constantly look up through the head for food.  Ewwwww.    Icky-poo.

It points up the importance of light in a rather intriguing way.
