So I have a neighbor who a few months ago was being investigated by an insurance company for fraud. They hid behind some of our hedges to photograph him working around his yard. Supposedly he has a bad back and is unable to work. When I saw the guy with the camera I thought it was odd but maybe he was a real estate guy photographing the house from odd angles or something, so he could put it up for sale. About a week after that I was raking my lawn and the neighbor came over and asked me if he saw anyone spying on him. I said I wasn't sure. He then told me about an insurance company trying to get him for insurance fraud and was he was furious.
A couple month after that he tells me the insurance company backed down and he's getting workmens compensation or something like that.
So here I am typing and as I'm hitting the keyboard I'm looking out the window watching this guy cut up his tree that fell over on his truck from the ice storm. He's using a big ol chainsaw and hauling big limbs around the size of a tree trunk. It was a big tree. He doesn't seem to be having the slightest problem with his back. He's not wincing or struggling. A few weeks ago I saw him fixing his engine and pulling the battery out and other heavy engine crap.

I've had bail bondsmen want to stake out a neighbor from our property, We told them sure, start picking up rocks we are seeding this area soon.

One last thing, this neighbor is a trump supporter. I'm sure there are Democrats who have tried to pull one over on insurance companies, but damn, maybe if there were more social programs to help people, national health insurance and other social safety nets then maybe there wouldn't be this kind of insurance fraud going on. My understanding is that we all pay for this kind of fraud with higher premiums.
But, social programs instituted by Democrats is evil socialism. Better to just cheat the system.

This will generally be true. Almost every tough guy firefighter type I know has "back problems" and is on some form of disability.
many are also regrettably hooked on opiates. It is a vicious circle.
