Religion at work...
So I just had an argument with my boss, we work in the same office.

His political views are that no non-Christian should ever be allowed in politics. No non-Christian should ever be allowed as the president, or prime minister. He said he would throw out of the country all gays, leftists, communists and non-Christians.

I told him that he can throw me out, because I am an atheist and he is a single-party totalitarian. He looked at me strange, no he is not, he wants democracy. No, no you don't, I told him, you want a one-party totalitarian regime. And Croatia had that a couple of times in history, specifically when we were part of communist (more precise socialist) Yugoslavia. He can't comprehend that he wants to bring back the system he hates.

I am trying to explain the words "democracy", "freedom of choice", "free will"... But I am failing. Complete blockade of logical thinking.

I gave up rather quickly, this is utterly pointless.

How the fuck are these people breathing?

I avoid political and religious discussions at work, and an employer should know better than to engage in such discussions with employees.

I avoid it as well, but he is starting it. Our president is from left wing party, he can't stand that, so he shit's on him all the time. I do not care, but he over-shits, I have to step in.

We are about the same age, we know each other for years now, so it's a bit OK, no hard feelings, but I am now starting to see him as stupid.

Religion was off limits when I was in the Navy. We did have a few in your face "testifiers" when that was a thing. None of them tried it twice with me.

He is my boss, I can't tell him to fuck off, that he is retarded and things like that. I have to be polite and diplomatic about it.

I really don't want to talk politics and religion at work, mostly because I have to be diplomatic about it. If this was not my boss, but some guy on the street, he would go home crying.

I am more upset about his political views, than his religion. Imagine that you hate Yugoslavia, communism, socialism and everything left sided, but you go around saying no one should ever vote for non-Christians. Only demo-christian parties are allowed. That is called one-party system and that was used in Yugoslavia, communism and socialism, except it wasn't the Christians, but communists.

What kind of democracy is this? We had a war in Croatia, to separate from the Yugoslavia and to have a modern, free and democratic state. People died for this democracy, however bad it is, it is still better than totalitarian system we had before.

So stupid, so ignorant, so small-minded...

Yes, but when there is a will, there is a way. Now, I'm using his world views to change them, from inside. He said that he would never allow gay people to adopt children. I ask him why doesn't he then adopt a few of those children, like a good Christian... He said that he hates gays, he does not want them harm in any way (as a good christian he is), but he would gladly throw them all out the country. I told him that God created us all, even those gays he wants to relocate. They are all Gods children and only God knows His logic and ideas. He did think about that for a bit.

I will fuck him up so bad, he has no idea who he is messing with. Little by little I will destroy him and his way of thinking and all that by using his own religion.

Ask him why Lot, the only righteous man in Sodom, offered his virgin daughters to a mob to protect two angels who worked directly for God. I mean they had lunch with him before going on that mission!

Oh, don't worry, we already commented on that, but that was before I knew all his world-views. I will use that again, don't you worry. I love the story about Lot and the angels and a gay mob...

The guy is my boss and I looked at him when he told me he supports trump and laughed. He asked me why I laughed and I said “because you really need people in this store right now so you can’t afford to lose me. It must really drive you nuts to have a liberal working for you.”  And I walked away.

Every single time trump does something stupid (which is daily) it’s mentioned and he can’t say shit because he knows how embarrassing trump is. And I just run with it and it’s great.  Big Grin
