75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. 200 survivors came to the celebration. Some of them held very good speeches. They're between 85 and 98 and I shudder to think what happens to the memory, once they are gone. Even more in our general political climate.

My maternal grandfather was present at the liberation of Bergen-Belsen he died in the late 70s but I still remember the screams of his nightmares when he came to stay with us. Lest we forget, bless you grampy xx

I didn't check extensively, but it seems that Trump spent the day tweeting kind words about the Joos and then rouding it out by making veiled threats against a duly elected member of congress.
