Coronavirus vaccine
National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) director Dr Anthony Fauci has said that the NIH is developing a vaccine for the virus, reported CNN.
However, it would take months for the vaccine to advance into clinical trials and more than one year until it is available.
A team of scientists in Texas, New York and China are also working on a vaccine, noted Baylor College of Medicine vaccine scientist Dr. Peter Hotez. After a vaccine is available, health care workers are likely to receive it first as they are exposed to infected patients.

Work On A Coronavirus Vaccine
University of Queensland researchers are working round the clock as they race to develop a vaccine to stop
people dying from the coronavirus.  The Queensland team is one of three around the world asked to plant
their foot on the accelerator and use new technologies to get a vaccine onto the market fast.  If the team can
replicate what they've done in labs with other viruses, including related influenza and Ebola, it's possible the
world could have a shield against coronavirus within six months.

From what I have read and understand of it, Coronovirus is simply a fancy name for the common cold. I personally see it as merely a scare tactic.

Work On A Coronavirus Vaccine
Researchers at the University of Queensland (UQ) have said they are just days away from testing a
new vaccine for coronavirus, or COVID-19, on animals. This follows the breakthrough by Australian
scientists in developing a lab-grown version of the disease.

Coronavirus COVID-19 vaccine days away from animal testing, Queensland researchers believe.

Paul Young, head of the university's School of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences said "It is a new
territory for vaccine design. Vaccines take many years to develop from concept to licence and use in
the community. What we are aiming for is somewhere between 12 and 18 months, which is remarkably
quick."

He said they now planned to conduct pre-clinical trials and
hoped to undertake human trials by the middle of the year.
