Resource thread ideas
I thought it would be a good idea to create a resource thread.  Does anyone have any books or articles they would like to add?

By the books you mean titles I assume?

Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

This is an online photocopy of the Codex Vaticanus which dates to around 300-325 AD.  It's the oldest complete version of the New Testament.  It's in Greek but has a numbering system on the side so you can cross reference it with the English bible if you don't happen to speak Greek.   The Codex Vaticanus is a nice source because one can scroll through it and see that Mark, the first gospel written, lacks the post resurrected Jesus scene which was eventually written and added sometime after 400 AD.

The woman taken into adultry is also missing from this Codex.  That too was added sometime later.

I've got some more resources in my bookmarks.  I'll be back later with those links.

I think we need a "Resources for the recently converted" thread, a primer as it were. Perhaps a dozen links to get people who are probably somewhat dazed and confused into the spirit of the thing.

Also, can we please get descriptive text for links? Just a few lines.

infidels.org is still around, afaik, and has an extensive library of useful material.

Add it where? And are the resources limited to atheism/theism related?

I compiled a list of resources based on what I have and what others have added and sent it to the mods via a link Dom gave me. I thought the resource thread could be a place where people looking for resources on leaving religion or just atheism in general could have items compiled in one place. But I would think you can add whatever you like and then the mods can determine if it fits in etc.
