Hippogriff for me. Bad-ass eagle/horse/lion thingy. Flying one would be awesome. (I'd need a very strong one. )

I would like a Cyclopes if I had a bigger house.
It's main function would be to answer the door to JWs.
He loves me?

Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

There's a small islet just off Taormina, Sicily, that is called "Cyclops Rock". Supposedly Odysseus encountered the monocular monster there.

At work.
Which mythical beast?
A dragon of course.
With the variations from McAffery's time traveling teleporters to the magical incarnations in most rold playing games.
Fek George R. R. Martin's pathetic wyverns.

Anne McCaffrey's dragons are cool. But I'd take Ruth over all the bronzes and golds.

The problem being that, with out cloning tech, there will only ever be one Ruth.
If my memory is serving me and Ruth is white.

Ramoth produced one white dragon. Doesn't mean there won't be others.

Quite true.
Indeed, should McAffery's children/inheritors continue to explore her worlds, we might see the change in practices of the dragon hatching.
As before Ruth 'Runt' eggs were pretty much left to rot.
What other 'Sports' might emerge would make for good reading/tale telling.
Of course, in the case of Ruth, you have traits thqt are sadly unique and hence 'Perishable'.
Of course in a similar vein "Haast's eagle" and/or "Quetzalcoatlus Northropi" would be amazing creatures to fly again
Perhaps with the right/proper/correct breeding they might both be domesticated as well as 'Load carrying'?

I'd like to BE the Swan Maiden just because she's cool looking and shapshifts from human to swan.
As pet and sorta in the same flying theme I'd like to have Pegasus. Here Peggy! Wonder what flying horses eat? Maybe stardust.

I'd like one of Daenerys Targaryen's Dragons .
IF I couldn't have that, I'll settle fort the craft "Gay Deceiver" from Heinlein's "Number Of The Beast". THE coolest craft I've ever seen in fiction . It counts because Gay is sentient.
