"Ah, we’re not going to church today. Fuck that. Ah, it’s all a bunch of bullshit. God’s everywhere, but I gotta go down there to see him? Really? And he’s mad at me down there, and I owe ya money? Go fuck yourself." - Bill Burr

Uh... what about the multitudes of sorcery, exorcisms, magic, miracles,
incantations to gods, ghosts, and demons etc in the Abrahamic bible?

Some Catholics don't want J.K. Rowling's fictions to compete with their fictions.

A few years ago I watched and heard as a young and (otherwise) intelligent priest sermonized about how (seriously) the devil goes around trying to tempt people to do the evil they knew they should not. Seriously, ... in 2019, millions (billions) of these people still buy into this complete nonsense. They actually still employ exorcists.

Oh, time to go back and read my Harry Potter collection and maybe get another banned book to support a banned-book writer. Banned books are the best!

There is in the universe only one true divide, one real binary, life and death. Either you are living or you are not. Everything else is molten, malleable.

It was my wont to say "The devil made me do it!"  I was 6

Mum only put a stop to that with difficulty.  A bright little boy, I knew a good thing when  I saw it.  Tongue

The nun who told me about that horses hit was a lot older than 6, at least chronologically.  hobo

That was the first, but  not the last time my [then] ] proddy mum  went  across the road to the school  (really) to yell at the tMother Superior.
