I was lurking on another atheist board and noticed a guy posted that that league starts tonight. Going to be on CBS, I think at 8et. Any pointyball fans been following the development of this league?

...aaaand they're gone before their first season was up. Orlando Apollos de facto champs. Next up, apparently, the XFL.

I'm not huge on pointyball, but back in Pennsylvania, an independent TV station carried the CFL, which was kind of fun for the novelty of it. I had thought to go to a San Diego Fleet game but never found the right circumstances.

So I hear $70m was lost on this?
Is this sig thing on?

Probably a lot more than that. I read Thomas Dundon lost $70m alone. Individual team owners lost money too, and apparently very few of the league's vendors got paid anything.
