Churches on fire

.... am I supposed to make the obligatory comment that arson is bad and you shouldn't do it, or the obligatory comment that using faith and gullibility to scam poor people out of what little money they have is bad and you shouldn't do it?

Churches have a long, sordid history of burning heretics.
Turnabout is fair play.

This was a recent church fire in Melbourne, Australia...
Looks very cosy. I'm a creationist; I believe that man created God.
Churches have been incredibly useful during the coronavirus crisis. Closing their doors and cancelling services. Billions of dollars to your churches, synagogues, and mosques well spent, it's almost as if the money would have been better used donated to local hospitals and shelters.

LOL... yes, buildings all over the world that are supposed to be places of safety and sanctuary due to the powers of an omnipotent god are suddenly rendered not so by a tiny, invisible organism that was apparently created by that same god. Do not the theists see something wrong with this? I'm a creationist; I believe that man created God.

WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE SERVICES ARE CANCELED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. (03-20-2020, 01:33 PM)jerry mcmasters Wrote: Churches have been incredibly useful during the coronavirus crisis. My wife recently commented that if the hospitals needed space to house those infected, they could commandeer all the empty Catholic churches around here. The churches would charge too much for succor and care, as ever. At least they'd be doing some good and justifying their tax exemption.
Mountain-high though the difficulties appear, terrible and gloomy though all things seem, they are but Mâyâ.

If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.
It's their own damn fault. They obviously didn't pray hard enough.

These prosperity gospel / "name it and claim it" preachers are always playing with fire because they attract mentally unstable people and the desperate. Occasionally, it backfires like this.
