What a relief! What a huge fucking relief! Now they can leave all those helpless murderers, pedophiles, and rapists in peace.
The US has plenty of laws.  What is severely lacking is justice.

I read the article, as the headline seemed unbelievable.

They were put in jail for failure to appear in court. Not unpaid medical debt.

Sounds like if you have medical debt, you have to show up in court, and say (prove?) they can't afford the bills. Which seems sketchy. But nobody is going to jail for not being able to pay the bills.

Hilarious that a site called "Truth or Fiction" references the same story, with the explanation of jail time explicitly stated (not medical debt) and still came up with True.
